Any AEE member, company, or individual who witnesses a breach of this Code of Ethics is encouraged to file a complaint with the AEE certification board. Complaints should be submitted to: international@aeecenter.org (with subject including 'Complaint')
The complaint process includes the following steps:
The certification board will gather all available information for internal review
If a potential violation is identified, the board will interview both the complainant and the certified professional
The certified professional will have full opportunity to respond and provide evidence
The board will conduct an independent and impartial hearing
If a violation is found, the board may suspend or revoke certification by a two-thirds majority vote
